Village of Chatham is excited to announce the launch of TextMyGov services as another convenient way for residents, employees and visitors to communicate with the Village. You can sign up to receive text message notifications whenever the Village needs to get a message out such as Upcoming Events, Garbage Delays, Storm Warnings, Road Closures, and Power Outages.

  • Text “VOC” to 91896 to Receive Village-wide Notifications, Including Water/Sewer and Garbage Notifications.

  • Text “VOCWATER” to 91896 to Receive Sewer/Water Notifications Only

  • Text “VOCGARBAGE” to 91896 to Receive Garbage Notifications Only

  • Text “VOCGHENT” to 91896 to Receive Ghent Water District Notifications Only

What to Expect:

  • After the initial keyword is sent, you will receive a confirmation message asking you to reply YES to verify opt-in.

  • You may receive multiple text messages a month with a notification for each alert category opted-in to.
