Online Payment Options - COMING SOON!
The Village of Chatham is implementing new online payment systems to improve convenience and expand available services. The new systems provide a consistent and predictable fee structures with multiple payment methods, including credit/debit cards and electronic check (ACH).
Utility and Miscellaneous Payments:
Credit/Debit Cards: 2.95%
eCheck (ACH): $1.95
Tax Payments:
Credit Cards: 2.95% (minimum $2.00)
eCheck (ACH): $2.00 (for payments up to $50,000, with verification)
Processing fees are charged by third-party providers and are not retained by the Village.
There is no fee for payments made by cash or check in person or by mail.
Village Property Tax Bills
This system is different from the previous online payment method, which had limited functionality and was not widely used.
The new system allows residents to:
Search for their property by name or address
View their tax bill directly online
Select their bill and proceed to payment
This updated process is designed to be more user-friendly and easier to navigate.
Please note that this tax payment system is temporary and will be used during the Village’s transition to a unified billing and payment system.
Village Water & Sewer Bills
Residents will be able to pay water and sewer bills through a new secure online payment portal. This system will offer additional features, including the ability to:
Create an account
Track payment history
Manage payments more easily, including setting up auto pay
Permits/Fees/Miscellaneous
The Village is also expanding online payment capabilities to include a variety of additional fees, such as permits and other charges.
